The Broad Street Bus Rapid Transit project in Richmond has applied for a $24.9 million TIGER grant for the final design and half of construction costs. The rest would come from state and local sources and could open in summer 2018.
It is among the $9.5 billion in project requests vying for $600 million for the highly competitive U.S. Department of Transportation grant program this year. Link
